January 2021 Newsletter

Posted by Lindsay Jensen on January 7, 2021

Dear friends and supporters:

We hope this newsletter finds you doing okay amidst all that's unfolded in our country this week. We're still at a loss for words as we process through the storming of our capital and the white supremacy that underpins it all. One thing we know for sure - our work is more important than ever. While it feels a bit weird to do "business as usual" today, we thought it timely and important to share information about the Global Change Incubator and other key happenings we've got going on. Feel free to reach out with any questions you have.

With lots of love,
Anna and Lindsay, Co-Leaders

Global Change Incubator

We have been working alongside One Solution Global and The Spark Initiative to launch The Global Change Incubator. This program is a 10-month, in-depth educational leadership experience developed specifically for current and aspiring leaders of social, environmental and systemic change. This leadership journey will take an in-depth look at how the human mind is designed and works for us all, and how a deeper understanding naturally creates a solution-based environment within each individual. With that, change is accelerated and systems transformed. Applications are now open at: https://www.ioscollective.org/incubator.

Sign up for our Half Day Event:

Join us for our half day Uncover Resilience and Innovation to Change the World event. This event will explore a sustainable model for increasing resilience and mental well-being that leads to direct action and change, regardless of issue area or background. This day will also highlight the Global Change Incubator and give you a taste of the change we want to create together. Join us to learn about this innovative, holistic approach to drawing out the resilience in communities.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are launching a new volunteer program to engage community members in a variety of programs and projects. Here's how it will work:

1 - Sign up to become a volunteer
2 - New volunteers will be asked to attend a 30-minute volunteer orientation to meet our staff and learn more about our work.
3- Once you've completed the orientation, you'll be added to our volunteer list.
4 - We'll email out volunteer opportunities the first week of each month with links to sign up. Opportunities vary in scope, length, location, etc.

Our volunteer program is really flexible. You can sign up for the opportunities that work best for your schedule and interests. We’re still a fairly small organization, so we won’t always have a ton going on each month. But, we're excited to have your help!
